Franchise Ripley, believe it or not |
Founded by Robert LeRoy Ripley on December 19, 1918, some franchises are dealing with unusual events organized, decorated with objects strangely.
The initial release of "The Believe It or Not" was an event of great commercial success, so the format was adapted for radio, television, a chain of museums, books and games.
The Ripley collection today includes 20,000 photographs, 30,000 artifacts and more than 100,000 cartoon panels. As data say that, at the peak of its popularity, the newspaper of publishing Ripley was read daily by about 80 million readers.
Ripley Museums: When Ripley first displayed his collection to the public at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933, labeled Ripley's Odditorium, attracted over two million visitors during the fair. Since then, they were opening new museums throughout the United States.
